Lifeway Country Church is a new concept of a Church and was launched on July Sixth.  Let me tell you about the "Country Church. Ten years ago  Evangelist Butch Ikels and his wife started the First Country Church in their living room in Marion,Texas with Seven members( See The countrychurch,Marion,Texas) On April Fourth and Fifth,2008 they celebrated their Tenth aniversary with 2300 members, averaging 230 new members each year.
 
The Country Church is not just another Church like any other church. The country Church is not just a building dressed up in new clothes. The Country Church is not an organizatioon, but a mind set.Many of you reading this have often longed for a Church just like the old country church you visited with your parents or Grandparents.You remember the songs of hope sung by neighbors and friends.The fellowship with people  just like you. Hard working people with family values, love of your country and the simple life that went with country living. A Church where people loved one another and when something happens to one of the community they were there for you. In the country Church we will sing country and southern gospel and we may sing " The Old Country Church" "Farther along," will the circle be unbroken", " when the saints go marching in"  just to name a few.
A Church where you can dress casual,  or in boots and jeans or suits and ties and no one feels intimidated. A church without a power struggle, because the members are interested in praise and worship and good ole country preaching from the Bible about the love of God and the Savior who died for us all. There are Three types of "Country folks"  those that "were ", those that "are", those that "wanna-be ."  This maybe what you have been looking for all along. "Y'all come to see us now,ya hear
